Voetbal International understands that Heerenveen might be forced to cash in on star midfielder Hakim Ziyech at the end of the current campaign.
The youngster will not be leaving on a free transfer in the summer as the club exercised the option to extend his deal for another year, but he is now only tied until June 2015.
And while Heerenveen officials are in the process of negotiating a new contract with Ziyech’s representatives, they are aware he will have to be sold if an agreement cannot be reached.
According to Voetbal International, Eredivisie giants Ajax and Feyenoord are closely monitoring the situation and are ready to pounce.
Ziyech came through the youth ranks at Heerenveen and made a total of five league appearances in his debut season.
However, he has since nailed down a regular starting berth and has been in stunning form this season, having managed 8 goals and as many assists in 28 league outings.
