Schalke general manager Horst Heldt believes midfielder Julian Draxler has a bright future ahead of him.
The Germany international, 19, has been in sublime form this season and has recently been linked with clubs such as AC Milan, Juventus and Arsenal.
But Heldt says he wants to keep the creative midfielder at Schalke for the foreseeable future.
“He breaks one record after another. If he continues like this, he will have a great career, and could become absolutely world class,” Heldt told Bild.
“We want him to stay here as long as possible. We have to make sure that he feels well at the club. Qualifying for the Champions League again would help.”
Draxler’s contract with Schalke is due to expire in 2016.
