Henderson eyes Manchester United chance

Dean Henderson has told the Mail Online that he is ready to break into Manchester United’s first team.

The twenty-two-year-old spent last season on loan at Sheffield United and was an ever present as the Blades finished second in the Championship behind Norwich City.

He is yet for feature the Red Devils, having also had spells with Stockport County, Grimsby Town and Shrewsbury Town but feels it may be time for him to make his mark at Old Trafford.

While Henderson was enjoying the best season of his short career so far, current United number one David De Gea struggled by his standards as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side finished in sixth place.

Internationally, Henderson has been capped six times for England’s U21s and will hope to further build his reputation at this summer’s European Championships in Italy, where the Three Lions are currently favourites to lift the trophy.
