According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Jeff Hendrick has taken part in a medical ahead of his move to Newcastle United.
The Republic of Ireland international will be making his way over to Tyneside on a free transfer after his contract with Burnley officially expired, and at the age of 28, he will become Steve Bruce’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
Hendrick is expected to sign a three-year deal with the club as the Magpies continue to go through the motions of not knowing whether or not they’ll be taken over in the next few months.
Newcastle fans have been eagerly waiting to see whether or not they’ll end up having a huge cash injection as a direct result of a big takeover, especially after it was revealed that the most recent plan for a takeover to go through actually fell apart in yet another false dawn for the club.
