Competition: Scottish Premier League
Market: Henrik Larsson to be next Celtic manager
Odds: 5/2 @ 888 Sport
With manager Neil Lennon having resigned from his position at Celtic this summer, former player Henrik Larsson has been linked to replace him. Larsson, 42, is currently in charge of Swedish side Falkenbergs FF. Upon being linked with a move to Celtic, Larsson was quick to reaffirm his desire to remain in Sweden, but failed to entirely rule out the possibility of returning to his former SPL side.
And as a result, 888 Sport are giving odds of 5/2 for Larsson to be named the next Celtic manager. He’s had around five years of coaching experience and would be potentially taking charge of a Celtic side who won the league title at a canter with Old Firm rivals Rangers still not in the same division. He should win the title again in his first season.
Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert, also a former player, is in the running for the job, with former West Brom manager Steve Clarke another name having been mentioned too. Sacked Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay finds his name in the running, but he’s been linked with a vacant Premier League position.
