According to Sky Sports, Thierry Henry has been officially offered the Bordeaux job. The legendary French striker has been toying with the idea of entering management for quite some time now, after spending the last chapter of his career as an assistant manager with the Belgium national team.
Henry has been linked with a series of different clubs over the course of the last twelve months including Aston Villa, but it seems as if it’ll be his native France that he ends up returning to. The report suggests that Henry has asked for time to consider whether or not he’s actually going to take up the position, and that he’ll be making a final decision at some point over the course of the weekend.
That’ll give Thierry time to weigh up the pros and the cons of this situation, and given that he’s asked for this additional time, it seems as if he realises that this could be quite a big risk.
