According to Sky Sports, Thierry Henry is on the verge of becoming the new manager of Monaco. The 41 year old began his professional career as a player with the French club, and now, he’s being viewed as the man who can come in and save the day after their disastrous start to the Ligue 1 season. Henry would be replacing Leonardo Jardim, who has just been sacked in the last few hours.
It’s been difficult to keep track of Henry’s whereabouts in the last few months, given that he’s been linked to a host of positions including Bordeaux and Aston Villa. The former Arsenal man’s work with Belgium alongside Roberto Martinez seems to be the big reason as to why so many clubs are looking into bringing him on, with Henry helping to lead the Belgians all the way to third place during their World Cup campaign this past summer in Russia.
