Henry set for NY Red Bulls?

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, French football legend Thierry Henry is currently in talks with New York Red Bulls over the possibility of becoming their new manager. Henry’s first job in management came during a short spell at Ligue 1 club Monaco a few months ago, and it’s fair to say that things didn’t exactly go to plan. Henry’s tenure was about as disappointing as fans could’ve imagined, and after just a quarter of a year in the job, he was sent on his way.

Now, though, Henry, who played for the Red Bulls for four years, is considered to be the man who can turn things around for them. He’d almost certainly have an immediate impact due to his connection with the club, but the question is whether or not he’d be able to sustain that.

Either way, it seems like NYRB fans are pretty excited by this prospect.
