According to Sky Sports, Thierry Henry will not become Aston Villa’s new manager. The two parties are said to have held talks regarding a potential move, but instead, the Frenchman is now the favourite to become the new manager of Monaco. This is a similar situation to what happened earlier in the year when Henry was supposedly lined up to take over at Villa Park, only for it to be revealed that he was looking towards a move to Bordeaux instead.
This whole saga needs to be put to rest sooner rather than later, because at this stage, Villa’s inability to find a new boss could take a toll on their season. While we’re still in the early stages, it’s vitally important that they don’t lose too much ground on the teams ahead of them, because by the time they hit their top form it could already be too late.
