According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, West Ham United have agreed on a deal with Spanish side Sevilla that will see forward Javier Hernandez leave the club. The former Manchester United forward had 10 months remaining on his current deal with the East London club, but as the summer has gone on, it’s become obvious that he was interested in the idea of leaving. Now, with news quite literally just breaking that the signing has become official, West Ham are set to receive around £8 million in exchange for the sale.
This is believed to be a move that the Hammers are putting together in order to free up some more space and finances for themselves, potentially so that manager Manuel Pellegrini can bring in a few new faces during the January transfer window.
One way or another, though, this is a big opportunity for Hernandez to prove himself.
