Ander Herrera is closing in on a new deal with Manchester United, according to the Independent.
The twenty-nine-year-old is in the final year of his current contract, which triggered an extra twelve months after the original four years ran down last summer.
Since arriving at Old Trafford in June 2014, the midfielder has racked up one hundred and eighty-one appearances in all competitions, scoring nineteen goals while in 2017 he was named the Red Devils’ Player of the Season, after helping them to success in the EFL Cup and Europa League.
He was also part of the squad that won the FA Cup in 2016, while internationally he has been capped three times for his country.
After taking twenty-two points from the last twenty-four available to them, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are fifth in the Premier League, just two points shy of the top four ahead of Saturday’s trip to Fulham.
