According to AS, Ander Herrera of Manchester United has signed for Paris Saint-Germain.
Herrera joined United from Athletic Bilbao in 2014. He has played a total of 189 games in all competitions for the Devils so far, scored 20 goals, and won the 2015 FA Cup, the 2016 League Cup and the 2017 Europa League. His contract is about to expire, and though there have been negotiations of a new deal, they obviously haven’t produced results amid the interest from the French champions.
Despite winning the Ligue 1 title again, PSG went through some tough moments this season with the long injury absence of Neymar, some reported dressing room problems, and the fact that they once again failed in their Champions League quest after crashing out (ironically, at the hands of Manchester United) in the round of 16. They are looking to recruit some new quality players as they prepare to try again next season.
Herrera will join the French side as a free agent, and has apparently put pen to paper on a four-year contract worth €8 million per season.
