According to a recent report from Sky Germany, Hertha Berlin have rejected the idea of signing Matteo Guendouzi on a permanent deal.
The midfielder is currently out on loan with Hertha, and after reports indicated that his parent club Arsenal would be calling him back to the Emirates, it now appears as if that’s not going to be the case.
Instead, the Gunners have offered Hertha Berlin the chance to sign him for €30 million – but they haven’t taken them up on that.
Guendouzi is the definition of a controversial figure after the manner in which he left the club on loan but many believe he can still bring a lot to Arsenal if he’s pushed in the right direction.
Whatever the case may be, there’s going to be some divisiveness that comes out of whatever Arsenal decide to do next with a player who still has so much potential left in him.
