Hertha Berlin striker Andriy Voronin has been banned for three matches after being sent off in the last minute of the 2-0 defeat at Hanover 96, the German Soccer Federation (DFB) said on Wednesday. The Ukrainian, on loan from Liverpool, was also fined 10,000 euros ($13,220) for kicking the ball against Leon Andreasen as he lay on the ground in Saturday’s Bundesliga game.

Voronin has been outstanding this season for Hertha, who are fourth in the table. The player will be available again for the last four league matches.
