Former Motherwell striker Michael Higdon has agreed a move to Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen.
Higdon, who became a free agent at the end of last season following the conclusion of his contract with the Scottish Premier League club, will move to the Netherlands on a two-year deal.
The former Crewe Alexandra striker had been linked with a host of clubs, after finishing last season as the SPL’s top scorer with 26 goals.
NEC technical director Carlos Aalbers told the club’s official website: “We wanted to have a type of target man.
“With capturing Michael, that is successful. He’s shown to be able to score goals at the highest level.”
Higdon was named PFA Scotland Player of the Year and will look to help improve on NEC’s 15th-place finish last season.
Alex Pastoor’s side finished four points above the final relegation play-off spot.
