According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Gonzalo Higuain is said to be moving closer and closer towards returning to Juventus. The Argentine is on loan at AC Milan but the club can’t decide whether or not to make the deal permanent, and given their current financial situation, the decision may not even be left up to them.
Higuain is considered to be one of the best forwards in the world but he’s certainly not yet had that defining role in the eyes of many fans. Chelsea are also believed to be interested in signing him, even after missing out during the summer.
Higuain likely only has a few years left at the highest level of the game and he’ll want to spend them in the place where he can maximise his own abilities. While the San Siro could be a good home for him, the challenge of breaking back into Juve’s first team will undoubtedly be a big motivator for Gonzalo.
