According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain is believed to be on the verge of signing a brand new contract extension with the Italian champions. Juve were said to be interested in selling him after a few failed loan switches to Chelsea and AC Milan, but after a strong start to the new campaign, the Argentine is believed to have worked his way back into the good books of the club after a long spell of uncertainty.

Fabio Paratici had already hinted at his form being rewarded, and it seems as if that’ll finally come to fruition.

Higuain has always been something of a polarising figure during his spell in Turin with some calling him overrated and others thinking the opposite.

Whatever the case may be the veteran forward seems to have proven his worth, which is likely to extend his spell with the club for a good few years yet.
