According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the impending move of Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea could lead to Alvaro Morata moving away from the club. The report suggests that if the Argentine forward does indeed make the jump from Juventus to Stamford Bridge, then Morata could end up moving in the opposite direction – but to elsewhere in Italy. The club that are apparently interested in signing him are AC Milan, who are willing to offer big money in order to land his signature.
Higuain’s move away from The Old Lady, to wherever it may be, seems more and more likely with each passing day following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo. Morata, on the other hand, has to go down as a poor signing for the Blues despite the fact that the initial signs indicated that he may be able to do some great things at Stamford Bridge. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be.
