Higuain welcomes Juventus interest; Barca hotshot set for Camp Nou stay

Higuain welcomes Juventus interest

The father and agent of Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has revealed that his soon would be interested in a move to Turin.

The Argentine striker is unhappy at playing second fiddle to Karim Benzema at Santiago Bernabeu and he could decide to leave the club at the end of the season.

Juventus appear to be leading the race for the highly rated striker, and the player’s father now confirms that Gonzalo is tempted by the interest from the Bianconeri.

“For now Gonzalo is only thinking about doing well in the championship and the Champions League with Real Madrid,” Jorge Higuain told Tuttosport.

“However, it is only logical that the interest of a club like Juventus, one of the most prestigious in the world, is pleasing.

“Nevertheless, it is still too soon to be discussing these things. In May we will analyse the situation and we’ll be ready to talk to the Bianconeri.”

Barca hotshot set for Camp Nou stay

Barcelona forward Cristian Tello is set to sign a new long-term deal at Camp Nou, the player’s agent reveals.

The 20-year-old burst onto the big scene this season, helping the Catalans cope with the absence of David Villa and he has already attracted interest from major European clubs.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, Tello was linked with Liverpool, Arsenal and Valencia, but it looks as though the youngster will be staying at Camp Nou after all.

The player’s representative claims that they are in talks with Barcelona officials regarding a contract extension.

“Many European clubs are interested in the boy, but we are now in negotiations with Barcelona,” Jose Maria Orobitg told Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

“There have been calls from England, Portugal, from everywhere, but still nothing is clear.”

Cristian Tello has scored two league goals in just over 200 minutes of La Liga action this term, while scoring two more in club’s Copa del Rey campaign.

PSG to step up interest in Younes Belhanda

Paris Saint-Germain have made Montpellier midfielder Younes Belhanda one of their main targets in the summer transfer window, according to L’Equipe.

The club’s Qatari owners have already invested more than €100 million in new players since taking over the club and they plan to continue player recruitment.

The Saints will have around €100 million to spend on new players next summer and a portion of that amount could be used to sign Montpellier midfielder Younes Belhanda.

According to L’Equipe, the Moroccan midfielder has caught the attention of owner Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani during the league match between Paris Saint-Germain and Montpellier that was played a couple of weeks ago.

The club owner already instructed sporting director Leonardo to contact the player’s representatives and everything suggests the 22-year-old will move to Parc des Princes come end of the season.

The player, who is under contract until June 2014, could be acquired for a fee between €15m and €20m.
