Gonzalo Higuain wants to end his playing career at Juventus, his brother and agent Nicolas has told Radio Marte, as relayed by Sky Sports.
Having started out at River Plate, spent seven years at Real Madrid and the following three at Napoli, the striker arrived to Turin in 2016 and scored 55 goals in 105 games in all competitions over two seasons for the Old Lady. Following the arrival of his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo from Real last summer, he played the first half of 2018/19 on loan with AC Milan and completed the season at Chelsea.
Neither of these moves proved a fruitful one for the 31-year old, and his future has been the subject of speculation lately. There was talk of a possibility of a permanent transfer to Stamford Bridge, but he seems set now to continue his career at his parent club.
His brother said playing on loan for another team in Italy wasn’t an option anymore, and Gonzalo wants to stay in Turin this time around, as Juventus aim to build a team that would be capable of finally achieving the elusive goal of winning the Champions League.
