Hiroki Sakai in high demand

London Evening Standard is reporting that a number of top clubs are showing interest in Marseille full-back Hiroki Sakai.

The 28-year-old has fared really well since joining the club from Hannover two years ago and his excellent showings clearly did not go unnoticed.

Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace are reportedly readying bid for his services, but there are few more clubs that could follow suit.

Namely, the likes of Napoli, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Sevilla are all considering summer bids for the Japan international.

After making 14 appearances in the qualifiers, Sakai will be representing Japan at the 2018 World Cup finals as well, where the Asian side are 9/2 to win their opening fixture against Colombia.
