Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has dismissed reports saying Wilfried Zaha could move to Borussia Dortmund in the near future, according to Sky Sports.
The Bundesliga leaders have confirmed Christian Pulisic will be leaving them in the summer to join Chelsea, and reports mentioned Zaha as a potential replacement for the American. Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc was asked about the Palace winger and called him a ‘good player’, sparking all kinds of speculation.
Hodgson, however, took a more down-to-earth approach to the statement by saying he’d be very surprised to learn that a club official, when asked about it, said Zaha was ‘no good’.
“But that doesn’t mean that they are going to buy him”, said Hodgson.
The 25-year-old signed a new long-term contract with the Eagles in August last year, and Hodgson is adamant there have been no talks between Palace and Dortmund on that subject. He says Zaha is still very much a Crystal Palace player.
