(GSM) – Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has fired a warning shot at Chelsea by claiming the visitors should expect ‘a hell of a game’ when they visit Anfield on Sunday.
The defending league champions are in supreme form this season winning 12 of 14 games in both the league and the Champions League, leaving them top of the Premier League and their European group.
While the Reds, who made a disastrous start to the season, are on course of a mini-revival with three wins from as many games in both the league and Europa League.
With the Blues already beaten once during their visit to Manchester City at the end of September, Hodgson is confident that the visitors could be beaten again when they visit Merseyside.
“I don’t think any team is unstoppable, quite frankly,” Hodgson said.
“All teams, however good they are, are stoppable. All teams will have bad days and will lose matches.
“They might not lose many in a season but they will lose some.
“There is no doubt we have to hit the ground running against Chelsea and we will.
“I think I can guarantee our fans Chelsea won’t leave here without having had a hell of a game on their hands.”
A win for Chelsea would see them surge five points clear at the top, while a win for Liverpool would extend their winning run to three Premier League matches.
