(GSM) – Bundesliga giants Bayern München have stated that unsettled striker Luca Toni can leave the Allianz Arena for free during the January transfer window.
The Italian hit-man has been at odds with head coach Louis van Gaal for much of the campaign and was expected to move on.
Such is Bayern’s eagerness to end Toni’s unhappy tenure they have confirmed that they do not require a fee to part company with his services.
President Uli Hoeness insists Bayern are keen to put the issue to bed once and for all, however, they are yet to receive any offers for the 32-year-old.
“If necessary, we will require no transfer fee [for Luca Toni],” he told DSF Doppelpass.
“We want to have peace on this issue.
“We still have no concrete offer, although we are willing to lend him on a free transfer or free.”
