1899 Hoffenheim have now gone four games without a win. They have nevertheless taken a point from all three away games played since the season restart, most recently in the 0-0 draw at Borussia Dortmund. Central defender Matthias Jaissle was however “pretty dissatisfied” with that share of the points.

“We made heavy going of it for the first half-hour. Dortmund dominated play during that phase and created a lot of chances. We’ve been struggling a bit at the start of games ever since the season restarted. That’s something we want to address as quickly as possible. We were happy to make it through to half time, although we had our chances as well. We played well on the break, but we’re going to have start operating a bit more effectively”, he told bundesliga.de in interview.

“The second half was a step in the right direction anyway. We attacked the ball better and made life a bit harder for Dortmund. In light of the second half above all, the game was a positive experience. It shouldn’t be forgotten, we’re still a young side. It could be we were a bit overawed by the backdrop at Dortmund early on”.
