Hoffenheim are closing in on Real Madrid striker Joselu, Spanish newspaper AS understands.
The German club have offered €5 million for the 22-year-old and while the offer has been rejected, it is believed los Blancos are willing to do business.
The Spanish side first wanted around €10 million for the promising forward, but AS claims they would settle for €8 million.
Obviously, a buy-back clause would have to be inserted in the player’s contract so that los Blancos have the option to bring the player back to Santiago Bernabeu in the future.
Dani Caravajal’s proposed transfer to Bayer Leverkusen will contain a similar clause.
Despite scoring 26 goals for Real’s B side, Joselu is not expected to be promoted to the senior side by Jose Mourinho, and that is why the forward informed the club chiefs that he wants to leave the club this summer.
Hoffenheim are not the only club interested in his services, seeing that a number of Premier League clubs are also keen.
