Hoffenheim defender Andreas Beck turned down a move to Italian giants Juventus in the January transfer window, according to his agent.
Hoffenheim reportedly were prepared to accept a bid of around €8million from Juventus for the defender.
“He is currently the captain of Hoffenheim and is very happy at the club. He never even considered leaving Hoffenheim in the winter,” said Arthur Beck, the player’s agent and brother, to Sportinformationsdienst.
“Juventus are obviously a great club, but they’re not the only team who want to sign Andreas. The fact that Juventus made an offer is no reason for us to get carried away.
“Andreas really wants to play European football, but that could very well happen with Hoffenheim, too. He’s not desperate to leave the club. We haven’t held talks to extend his current contract, but everything’s possible.”
