Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will be leaving Allianz Arena this summer, German media outlet Bild has claimed.
Despite showing a great deal of potential, the Dane was never able to secure much needed playing time at Bayern and he had to prove his worth during loan spells with Augsburg and Schalke.
But, having failed to convince the Bavarians chiefs that he deserves a chance in the first team, Hojbjerg is set to be placed on the transfer list.
Bild has suggested that Bayern would consider offers in the region of €12 million, although they will probably be forced to lower the asking price.
Hojbjerg’s official representative Soren Lerby has moved to confirm that only an outright sale will be considered, as his client is not interested in any more loan moves.
Even though he has yet to prove his worth at club level, the 20-year-old is an important member of the Denmark national team and he started eight Euro 2016 qualifiers.
