AS Roma are set to complete the signing of Olympiakos full-back Jose Holebas, Tuttosport has revealed.
The Giallorossi seem to have agreed on a transfer fee with the defender’s employers as the player is currently undergoing a medical in Rome after flying in from Athens.
According to the latest reports, Holebas should put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the Serie A side during the day.
The 30-year-old is thus set to become the second Greek international to join Roma this summer, after Kostas Manolas also arrived from Olympiakos.
And with Vassilis Torosidis joining from the Greek giants in January 2013, the Giallorossi are just one player short of being able to field a four-man defence entirely consisting of Greek players.
Jose Holebas has been somewhat of a late bloomer, but he has been in scintillating form for club and country over the last couple of years, which seems to have resulted in a big club move.
