Il Corriere della Sera understands that Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda has decided to leave AC Milan in the upcoming transfer window.
The highly rated footballer has struggled for playing time under Sinisa Mihajlovic, but he was ready to fight for his place in the side.
However, with the Serbian coach recently switching to 4-4-2 formation, it is clear that Keisuke Honda is nearing the exit door, given that his qualities are not suited to said style of play.
And even though he was initially prepared to wait until the summer, the 29-year-old now wants to leave at the earliest opportunity, and he shouldn’t have problems finding a new club.
The Japan hotshot is still held in high regard by Europe’s top sides and it only remains to be seen where he will end up, with English Premier League also a possible destination.
Keisuke Honda has so far featured in 54 Serie A games, and scored a total of 7 goals in the process.
