(GSM) – Keisuke Honda’s agent has revealed that he is unaware of any interest from Milan in the Japanese star.
The Rossoneri’s have reportedly made a €13 million bid in the hope of signing Honda, who impressed at the 2010 World Cup, scoring twice in an advanced role for Takeshi Okada’s national side.
Honda, who had joined CSKA Moskva from VVV Venlo in January, has been valued at €15 million by the Russian club, with Milan’s bid falling way below the valuation.
But Honda’s agent, Kees Ploegsma, admits he has been caught unawares by speculation of a possible move to San Siro.
“I know nothing about this”, Ploegsma told Calciomercato.it. “No one contacted me. Few clubs have asked information but these have been only informal talks and at the end nothing became concrete.
“Honda signed in January with CSKA Moscow and he has a deal until December 2013. We don’t know if the Russian side are ready to sell him. Obviously it’s an honour being linked to so prestigious sides, but it is not a surprise because Keisuke did good things in World Cup and with CSKA too.”
