(GSM) – Honduras have work left to do ahead of June’s World Cup. On Wednesday, the central-Americans failed to convince in a 2-0 defeat by Turkey.
The World Cup participants faced Turkey, who themselves failed to qualify for the finals, at Istanbul’s Atatürk Olmpiyat stadium.
The Turks went ahead four minutes before the break with Emre Gungor directing the opening goal past keeper Donis Esober.
And ten minutes after the interval, it was Bayern Munich midfielder Hamit Altintop to set the score to 2-0. This would also be the final result.
Honduras face a tough task in June, starting their World Cup campaign against Chile followed by clashes with Spain and Switzerland.
