Dundee United boss Peter Houston was delighted with his side’s 2-1 win over Rangers on Saturday that helped them hang on to fourth place.
Houston’s side were powered by goals from Keith Watson and Jon Daly in the win, while Rangers hit back on the hour mark when a Sone Aluko shot deflected off John Rankin and into the net.
The win kept Dundee United in fourth place on goal difference ahead of St Johnstone and Houston was thrilled to claim all three points with their fourth consecutive league win.
“It’s a massive three points no matter what Rangers side you’re facing,” Houston said.
“Our guys came in shaking their heads in disappointment.”
“But it’s games like this when you don’t play well and get three points that make the difference.”
“We started the second half on fire and got the second goal through a great cross from Gary Mackay-Stevens to Jon Daly.”
