How Many Players Do Spurs Need To Buy To Win The EPL Next Season

What Spurs need to do to win the Premiership trophy next season.

Spurs came close for the second season in a row of securing the EPL title and are now inches away from clinching their first title since 1961. To cap off a remarkable year they ended the season by thrash Hull 1 – 7 which is their biggest away win record in the history of the club. If Chelsea had qualified last season for the Champions League things may have been different as the extra matches definitely play a part. Tottenham would have been crowned champion for the points tally they achieved 8 times since the Premier League start.

If Harry Kane had not been out injured so often this campaign it is likely they would have won the EPL. The striker continues to improve and his goalscoring record is up there with the best in the world. He managed 7 goals in the last two games to claim the golden boot for the second season in a row. He was one short of making it 30 goals in 30 matches as he ended on 29.

The most important thing that Spurs must do during the transfer window is to not lose any of their star players and especially not the manager. Mauricio Pochettino is God at White Hart Lane and is loved by both players, fans and even the owners. They can not afford to lose Kane, Ali, Eriksen, Wanyama, Dier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen or Lloris. They are the core of this incredible team and many Spurs fans would argue that Son and Dembele should be included in that list.

It looks like Spurs will be looking for a new right back as it is rumored that he has had his head turned by Manchester City. The England International did not like being left out of the first team for the last few matches and it is believed that he will leave for around fifty million pounds. No one in the world is better at training full backs than the Spurs manager. He spent his illustrious playing career playing in that position and all under his tutelage become world-class.

It has also been reported that Danny Rose may be off as well during the summer transfer window but this is less likely to come to fruition. With the money they would receive for either of those players would be a considerable amount. It should guarantee that these positions can be filled with talent at the same level or better.

The main transfer target for Spurs this summer will be a suitable backup striker to Harry Kane. Last summer’s signing of Vincent Jansen has not worked out and the forward from Holland only managed a single goal in gameplay. He is determined to stick around but if Spurs could get their money back they would jump at the chance.

One of the major stumbling block for Spurs winning the EPL next season is their Wembley form. The national stadium will be their new home for next campaign and they will need to take their unbelievable White Hart Lane form with them. They were unbeaten all season in their last year at White Hart Lane and will need to do the same again to make their dream of winning the title.
