Howe plays down Wilson to Man United

According to Sky Sports, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said that Callum Wilson deserves the recognition he has been receiving as of late, but at the same time, he chose to play down rumours of a potential move to Manchester United.

The Red Devils are said to be interested in signing Callum Wilson and potentially even Mario Mandzukic during the January transfer window, as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperately attempts to fix the ongoing issue with their lack of attacking threat.

Wilson has had to overcome injuries and setbacks for long portions of his Bournemouth career, but now, it finally seems as if he’s settling into a role that works for him.

United will do just about anything to ease the worry surrounding the club, so it’s possible that Howe is simply baiting them into putting in an even bigger offer than they might’ve done before. Either way, it’s an ongoing story.
