HSV keen on Bayern starlet

Hamburger SV are readying a late bid for Bayern Munich winger Julian Green, according to Bild.

The Red Shorts plan to sign the youngster on a season-long loan and while their league rivals are open to such a possibility, they hope to earn some money in the process.

As a result, the two clubs are currently negotiating the loan fee, but it is expected that they will ultimately reach an agreement.

After scoring 10 goals in 28 matches for the Under-19 side, Green impressed while playing for Bayern reserves last season, bagging 15 goals in 23 matches.

He was handed his first team debut in the Champions League clash against CSKA Moscow, but has yet to make a first team appearance this term.

Julian Green, nonetheless, made USA’s World Cup squad and went on to score in his only outing at the finals in the 2-1 Last 16 stage defeat to Belgium.
