As reported by Sky Sports, Callum Hudson-Odoi is thinking about leaving Chelsea due to a lack of desired game-time.
Despite Pedro Rodriguez being set to leave the club at the end of the season, and Willian being likely to head for the exit door too, Hudson-Odoi’s situation isn’t likely to get any better with newly signed duo of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner now in the reckoning and the club being in talks to sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen as well.
The 19-year-old winger was the subject of heavy interest from Bayern Munich last summer, but in the end he stayed put and signed a new contract, reportedly worth around £140,000 per week. However, he hasn’t been on the pitch for an hour all told since football came back in England following the pandemic-caused break.
Hudson-Odoi has played three times for England so far, but he will be aware that national team coach Gareth Southgate won’t be too keen to take him to the Euros next year if he cannot secure regular game-time at his club.
