Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has urged Jack Butland to stay put amid potential interest from some of the Potters rivals, according to the Daily Star.
A whole host of Premier League clubs could be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer with Manchester United, Everton, Liverpool and Chelsea all considering bringing in reinforcements.
Butland established himself as one of England’s best keepers before succumbing to a long term injury back in August and now the twenty-four year old has returned to first team action, he is back in demand.
He made his fiftieth appearances for Stoke as they drew 2-2 with Bouremouth on Saturday afternoon and his manager believes the shot stopper would be better suited being at a club where he is guaranteed first team football.
Stoke host Arsenal in Saturday’s late kick off, and the home win can be backed at a price of 17/4.
