Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has revealed he is ready to spend in the summer.
Hughes believes Manchester City and Tottenham could manage to break into the top four next season.
He told Sky Sports: “Tottenham and ourselves have similar ambitions. Spurs are obviously looking to build again this summer.
“Harry Redknapp likes a good turnover of players, because he thinks it stimulates the group. I think he expects to progress next season and we are similar.
“It’s good to be manager of a club with money available for new players but how you spend it is what matters.”
City have been linked with several players, including Kaka, David Villa, Ronaldinho and Carlos Tevez.
