QPR manager Mark Hughes said he will be focussing on getting points in their remaining Loftus Road games after a 3-0 home win over Swansea.
The former Manchester City, Fulham and Blackburn boss oversaw a morale-boosting win at home on Wednesday, one that propelled his London outfit two points clear of 18th-placed Bolton, and relegation safety.
And Hughes said picking up points in upcoming home matches with Tottenham and Stoke City will be crucial in his side’s quest to avoid relegation.
“If we carry on playing like we have been doing at home, I’m convinced we’ll be fine,” he said.
“People looked at our run-in and told us it was too hard, but we’re getting good results at the moment.
“There are going to be twists and turns, but that will happen at the top and the bottom.
“We’ve just got to get on with our business, and if we can do that we can be a match for anyone.”
Swansea are virtually safe from the drop on 39 points, 10 clear of Bolton, but manager Brendan Rodgers apologised to their fans, after they witnessed a fourth straight defeat.
“I have never had to do that (apologise) before but we were poor. We beat ourselves,” Rodgers said.
“It’s been a terrific season but we need to get over the finishing line.
“What I have said to the players is that we’re not mathematically safe. We need to re-group and if we can do that then it will have been an iconic season for us.”
