Hulk move on the cards, says agent

The agent of Porto star Hulk has given the strongest hint yet that the forward will leave the club in the summer.

The Brazil international has consistently been linked with a big-money transfer after becoming a key figure at Porto since joining the club from Tokyo Verdy in 2008.

Earlier in the week, he admitted that he would ‘happily’ leave Porto for a bigger club, and his representative has now declared that his client’s spell at the Estadio do Dragao could be coming to an end.

“This is not a matter of whether the transfer is possible or not, I think this is the right moment for it to happen,” Theodoro Fonseca told Antena 1.

“Hulk is the most sought-after player in Europe and we will think of everything with our feet on the ground and together with Porto.

“He entered the club through the front door and he has never said that he wanted to leave, so if he has to move on, he will do so through that same door.”

The 25-year-old has a staggering 100-million-euro release clause attached to his contract, but Fonseca believes that the player is value for money.

“Hulk is worth many titles and much happiness,” he said. “I think that is priceless.”

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have both been credited with an interest in Hulk, who is contracted to Porto until 2016.

Hulk said on Wednesday he had yet to be contacted by any clubs but would entertain a move elsewhere.

“No-one has contacted me, also because I do not get involved in such situations,” he wrote on Twitter. “I have an agent and he handles such things for me. If something must happen, he will find what is best for me.

“Thanks to God, I am fine in Portugal and I am still motivated. Every year, a lot is speculated about my exit. I am in my fourth year at Porto, I am focused on this club and I have four years left on my contract.

“If I have to leave, it will certainly be a good move. If I have to leave for one of the big leagues, I would do it happily.”
