Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk is nearing a move to Shanghai SIPG after the Chinese side have agreed a record fee for an Asian club of £45.7 million for the Brazilian forward.
According to French publication L’Equipe, two clubs have agreed on the fee and Hulk himself has given his nod of approval for this deal to finalise.
The 29-year-old striker is expected to fly to China this week to wrap up a transfer that would see him earn whopping £320,000 a week, which will make him the ninth-highest paid player in world football.
Shanghai SIPG is managed by former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson, who is under great pressure to improve results with Chinese outfit having slipped 12 points behind the Chinese Super League leaders Guangzhou Evergrande.
Hulk will become the latest big-name star to move to China, following the likes of Jackson Martinez, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Paulinho, Grervinho and Ramires.
