Hulk talks up big club move
Brazilian forward Hulk has confirmed that he is prepared to leave Porto for a big European club.
The 25-year-old is currently one of the hottest commodities on the market and he is heavily linked with a summer move away from Dragao.
A host of European clubs are thought to be interested in the player’s services, but he is not too moved by all the transfer talk.
“No one has contacted me, also because I do not get involved in such situations,” Hulk wrote on his Twitter page.
“I have an agent and he handles such things for me. If something must happen, he will find what is best for me.”
Hulk explains that he is perfectly happy at Porto, but also states that he would be happy to leave if the right offer comes along.
“Thanks to God, I am fine in Portugal and I am still motivated. Every year, a lot is speculated about my exit.
“I am in my fourth year at Porto, I am focused on this club and I have four years left on my contract.
“If I have to leave, it will certainly be a good move. If I have to leave for one of the big leagues, I would do it happily.”
The Brazilian forward has a contract until June 2016 at Dragao, with his release clause standing at €100 million.
Arsenal line up Sessegnon swoop
Arsenal are weighing up move for Sunderland playmaker Stephane Sessegnon, L’Equipe understands.
The Benin international only joined the Black Cats in January 2011, but has had a hugely impressive start to his career at the Stadium of Light.
The 28-year-old has been a real driving force for Sunderland this season and the player has attracted a lot of attention from top European clubs in the process.
L’Equipe reveals that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a big admirer of the highly rated midfielder and is preparing a summer bid for his services.
The player, who joined Sunderland in a €7 million deal from Paris Saint-Germain, has seen his stock rise a great deal this season and the French newspaper believes the Black Cats want around €17 million to part from their prized asset.
Sessegnon has scored 7 goals and produced 9 assists in 35 Premier League games this season and he has two years left on his contract with the Black Cats.
Hamburg to complete double signing
Hamburger SV are on the verge of signing Bayer Leverkusen keeper Rene Adler and Lech Poznan striker Artoms Rudnevs, Bild reports.
The German newspaper claims Rene Adler will sign a five-year deal with the Bundesliga outfit, while Rudnevs is set to ink a four-year deal.
Hamburger sporting director Frank Arnesen has confirmed he has been given all clear to wrap up the two deals.
“The board has approved both transfers. Now I have to handle the final technicalities,” Arnesen was quoted as saying in Bild.
Hamburg have agreed to pay Lech Poznan €3.5 million for Artoms Rudnevs, who will sign a long-term contract subject to passing a medical.
The Latvian international has been one of the most prolific forwards in Europe this season, scoring 22 goals in 29 league games for the Polish side.
On the other hand, Rene Adler arrives to the club on a free transfer and he will be earning around €2.7 million per campaign at Hamburg.
