A report from the Metro is suggesting that Chelsea could bring Brazil international Hulk to Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window.
The striker is currently plying his trade in Russia with Zenit St Petersburg, but he doesn’t seem to be enjoying his time with the big-spending club and a move to the English Premier League could be on the cards.
Hulk appears to be growing frustrated with the lifestyle in Russia and the lack of quality in its top flight, which has put Chelsea on red alert.
If the Brazilian wants to play at the highest level, then the Premier League is certainly the place for him and with Chelsea looking good for a top four finish, he should be playing Champions League football next season.
A lot seems to depend on who the manager might be at Stamford Bridge for the 2013/14 campaign as Rafael Benitez is all but certain to leave the club.
Whoever does come in would surely love to sign a player like Hulk, but Zenit won’t let him go on the cheap after splashing the cash earlier in the season.
It is an interesting story to keep an eye on over the next few months.
