Hull manager Phil Brown has blasted the January transfer window, claiming players are being priced out of a move to the club.
The Tigers have yet not made a signing in January, despite Brown admitted they are looking to strengthen his squad.
“It is an opportunity, of course it is, but also it’s a cornered market that’s in favour of the seller” Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.
“We have valuations of players and are then valued out of the market by the player’s demands or fee.
“I’m not in favour of these transfer windows at all. The agents and sellers have created a really false market.
“We’ll be looking to tweak the team with getting in one or two in the window this time but we plan long-term and it seems to me that the window is all about short-term fixes.
“And the fact there is a countdown to it all, day by day, makes it a complete farce; the game suffers because of the excitement of it all.”
