Hull City manager Phil Brown has warned Brazilian ace Geovanni he is ‘not bigger’ than the club.
Geovanni was unhappy at being substituted during their 2-1 home defeat by Blackburn on Sunday.
“He will never do that to me again,” said Brown. “Why? Because I’m the manager.
“Geovanni is not bigger than this football club – simple as that.
“I didn’t think he was having a positive impact on the game and when he had a chance to score he didn’t even get a shot in. His first touch was worse than mine!
“Our match winner on Thursday in the FA Cup was Nicky Barmby and I thought it was a chance for him to come on and have a chance in the same position.
“And, as I saw it, he did have a positive impact on the game.”
