Hull City 1/1 to beat Nottingham Forest in Thursday’s Championship matchup

Competition: Championship

Market: Hull City win

Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365

In a battle between two sides searching for a play-off charge, Hull will welcome a stalling Nottingham Forest to the KCOM on Boxing Day afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, putting in a dominant display and picking up a 3-0 win over Birmingham on Saturday, there is no doubt that Head Coach Grant McCann will be most impressed by his side’s continued success on home soil. Led by leading marksman Jarrod Bowen who has continued to steal the show at the KCOM this season, the Tigers have won four of their last five matches in front of their own supporters, including winning each of their last three straight matches on home soil. Thursday’s hosts should also be boosted by their most recent meeting against Forest back in October. When the two sides met at the City Ground, Hull landed a very eye-catching 2-1 victory.

As for the visitors, while Forest may have opened the 2019/2020 campaign in some style, the Reds currently find themselves enduring their worst run under new boss Sabri Lamouchi. Hit with back-to-back defeats against relegation scrappers Huddersfield over the weekend and a 4-0 hammering against Sheffield Wednesday, the former Rennes boss finds his side in the midst of a five-match winless run that stems back to the 27th of November. Also quickly gaining a reputation for their issues at the back, we’re backing a high-flying Hull to once again pick up what could be a crucial three points on Boxing Day afternoon.
