Competition: Premier League
Market: Hull to get relegated
Odds: 5/6 @ Bet 365

Hull City are preparing for their Premier League return next season, and are desperate to right the past wrongs that cost them their top-flight status a year ago.

However, the Tigers’ ageing squad and inconsistent form in 2016 might see them struggling in the coming campaign, meaning a relegation battle could be on the cards.

City have a side boasting a lot of Premier League experience, but it’s also a very old team lack pace in key areas. Hull’s centre-backs are both 31 or older, while two of their midfielders will turn 30 at their next birthday.

Their form went to pieces in the last few months too, with Hull dropping points in 12 of their last 22 league games before the Championship playoffs. Nevertheless, they got the job done in getting promoted, but the challenge lies ahead of them.

The Premier League is at its strongest with many mid-level sides boasting lucrative funds to attract top names. If clubs stand still, they will move backwards, so it’s imperative that Hull can strengthen the squad in the transfer market.

The likes of Burnley, Middlesbrough and Watford are expected to be embroiled in a battle for survival with Hull City this season, but Bet 365 are giving odds of 5/6 for the Tigers to suffer relegation.
