Hull City 8/11 to beat Rotherham in Tuesday’s Championship matchup

Competition: Championship

Market: Hull City win

Odds: 8/11 @ Bet 365

Looking to bounce back from their defeat over the weekend, Hull City will welcome a struggling Rotherham side to the KCOM Stadium on Tuesday night.

Starting with Nigel Adkins’ Hull side, while the hosts may have slumped to a 2-0 loss away at Derby on Saturday, the Tigers should be confident of bouncing back in midweek. With the chance to close the gap on the top six, it has been their form at the KCOM Stadium which has played a huge part in Hull’s resurge. Led by leading goalscorer Jarrod Bowen who has now bagged 15 goals this campaign, the Tigers have won their last six league matches on home soil. It is also worth noting that Hull have won the last two meetings with Rotherham, scoring eight goals.

As for the visitors, coming off the back of a 1-1 draw with Wigan over the weekend, Rotherham are still looking for their first win in the New Year. Now holding just a single point buffer over slipping into the relegation zone, it will be the Millers’ form away from the New York Stadium giving Paul Warne the biggest headache. Tuesday’s visitors have failed to win a single match on the road this season and more worrying, the Reds have now failed to register an away goal in over 500 minutes of action. Given the gulf in class between the two sides, we’re backing a home victory on Tuesday.
