Hull keen on Larsson and Ameobi

FA Cup runners-up Hull City are lining up summer moves for Shola Ameobi and Sebastian Larsson as they prepare for their debut season in Europe, according to the Mirror.

Both players are available on free transfers from Newcastle United and Sunderland respectively; with the latter having already worked with Tigers boss Steve Bruce at Birmingham City.

Larsson swapped St Andrews for the Stadium of Light in 2011, going on to make 121 appearances in all competitions for the Black Cats, scoring 11 goals.

Bar a brief loan spell with Stoke City in 2008, Ameobi has spent his entire career with Newcastle, scoring 79 goals in 396 appearances in all competitions with his debut coming way back in 2000 in a home game against Chelsea.

The Nigeria international boasts European experiences, turning out over fifty times for Newcastle in various competitions, while Larsson played, albeit just once, in the Champions League for Arsenal in 2005.
